Dr. Larry Bucshon Receives U.S. Chamber Endorsement

(Evansville, IN) – On Monday, from the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana headquarters in downtown Evansville, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce officially announced their endorsement of Dr. Larry Bucshon’s re-election campaign for Indiana’s Eighth Congressional District.

Dr. Bucshon made the following statement in response to the endorsement:

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and to have their continued support,” said Bucshon. “The key to a true economic recovery will only be found in the entrepreneurs working every day to create good-paying jobs, not in Washington, D.C. That is why I’ve fought in Congress for policies that invest in America, encourage growth, and limit government intrusion so that the private sector can prosper to get people back to work and get our economy moving again.”

Highlighting the Chamber’s support of Dr. Bucshon’s record, Cholly Smith, Manager of the Great Lakes Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce stated:

“The U.S. Chamber is proud to stand with the local business community to show our united support for Congressman Larry Bucshon, a champion for free enterprise who has the courage to govern,” said Cholly Smith. “He understands the needs of local businesses and continues to support regulatory reform, reductions in federal spending, and investment in common-sense infrastructure and transportation projects in Congress. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to stand with Larry Bucshon and endorse his congressional campaign.”

Bucshon was also endorsed by the Indiana Chamber’s Indiana Business for Responsive Government (IBRG).

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.

Bucshon, 52, was first elected to Congress in 2010 after practicing heart surgery for over 15 years.  He lives in Newburgh with his wife Kathryn and their four kids.
